Our Art trips have been to places like London, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Paris and Barcelona. I have also been on ski trips, one of which in Lake Placid USA, I have been the designated female driver in case of emergencies. I also like to do fun and energetic events like the major Series 5k obstacle course, where I made it onto the front of the Yorksire Post!

Continuing Professional Development
I am beginning to develop a photography GCSE course and include Stop motion projects for my Y8 classes. I am also eager to go on an i pad course to ensure I am in possession of more necessary skills.
I would like to start teaching life drawing classes, I believe that the pupil really observes human form when it is a real life person and they have limited time. It also gives them a more realistic way of drawing rather than working on small scale still life or from photographs.
I like to travel and read books to keep finding out new things and this influences my teaching.
This year, 2014, I have been lucky enough to be part of a Learning Development team, who look into the way pupils learn and this has shown me so much more than that. Broadening my teaching knowledge and classroom management. I am also now aware that I change my lessons, not based on boys/girls groups but depending on the individual group and personalities within it.
